Marquees offer the ideal venue to the theme:
- They have a high roof height, ideal for lighting
- They are a 'blank canvas'
- Pavilion marquees have aluminium frames, ideal for rigging, and also supporting backdrops and sets
- They provide a longer build and de-rig schedule than most venues

What's Important
Budget - some themes can be expensive (tending to be the lavish ones) and some can be relatively cheap.
First Impressions
A good invitation is very powerful in setting the scene. Especially important is encouraging your guests to invest time in research and sourcing their fancy dress (if required).
Bar/Reception Area
Again, as people arrive at the party first impressions are vital. Themed drinks, themed bar, background music, walkabout meet & greet entertainers can all be very effective if well planned.
