2 Royal visits in one day!
With a lead time of just 4 weeks, The London Borough of Hillingdon contacted Complete Events for help with a host of products and services.
Firstly HRH The Queen officially opened the initial phase of the new Hillingdon Sports & Leisure Centre. Complete Events provided everything from marquees to staging, a vast array of furniture to red carpet, even medal presentation cushions!
After lunch the Royal Entourage then moved onto Hayes Town Centre, where we provided a viewing rostrum, staging and furniture for HRH to watch a performance of local schoolchildren in the town's band-stand.
Both parts of the day required considerable on-site management: much of the installation and removal was to be managed on the day itself, and with the usual high security levels all crew were vetted accordingly!
The client said "You provided an excellent service at relatively short notice - well done."
Air Personnel Awards take-off
The ISPY (In-Flight Sales Personnel) Awards took place near Heathrow within Complete Events marquees, and was a great success.
With an infrastructure of over 1400 square metres, and with the majority of the structures solid-sided, we provided a spacious and comfortable environment for the 3 day event, despite challenging weather. Two days of conference were followed by the grand awards ceremony itself, culminating in a fantastic party where more than 300 guests were rewarded for their hard work throughout the year.
Our usual high specification included a (much needed) heating solution and smart built-in loos, as well as acres of starcloth, professional staging, furniture, lighting and power supply.
Celebrity Charity Fundraiser breaks records
Audi Karting Challenge for Helen & Douglas House Hospices, held at Daytona Go-Karting Track, Milton Keynes.
Working to an understandably limited budget we provided a range of services including:
- Marquees (including main dining/auction hall for 300+ and a massage tent for the weary drivers!)
- Catering (including day time refreshments & a main evening meal, furniture & linen)
- Bar Service
- All Technical Aspects, including Lighting, AV, Power Supply & Distribution, Temperature control etc.
- Staffing & Personnel
Attended by a host of celebrities who entered fully into the spirit of things, the day was an unmitigated success, raising well over £120,000 for Helen & Douglas House.
Jeremy Clarkson, who with wife Francie was responsible for much of the organisation of the event, said: "A million thanks to you and all your team for the fabulous job you did for us.The marquee was beautiful, the food delicious and the service second to none."

Embassy Reception
When the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrave Square had a new statue to unveil they turned to Complete Events to manage the unveiling.
Part of King Harald of Norway's State visit to England , the unveiling was attended by HM Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh. The statue has been erected in the Garden of the Embassy in memory of King Harald's British born grandmother Queen Maud.
Supplying a package including marquees, exterior PA system, furniture, red carpet, linen, cutlery/crockery/glassware, catering equipment & staging, we ensured the event went without a hitch.
Royal Opening
Factory Opening in West London for Remploy, the UK's leading supplier of employment opportunities to disabled people, in the presence of H.M.The Queen.
