Millenium Party
Client: Microsoft UK
Client's Objective: The client wanted to give staff an exceptional party, in excess of their usual high standards, and worthy of celebrating the dawning of a new Millennium. In the light of the potential Y2K Bug, the event was pushed back to February 2000, and the extreme stress that the possible threat created within this industry in particular necessitated an unsurpassed end product - it needed to be the party of a lifetime.

Complete Events were involved from the initial concept of the event. We started by sourcing a venue, a beautiful and prestigious stately home, capable of coping with the vast infrastructure required.
We put forward theme ideas that would capture the client's imagination, complete with artist's impressions of the major installations. A futuristic Space theme was finally selected.
We supplied extensive AutoCAD designs of the proposed marquee complex required for the success of such a challenging brief. All in all the complex covered over 3,200 square metres, incorporating 22 individual but interlinked structures. These areas included:

Under the title of 'The Restaurant at the End of the Universe' each dining 'zone' had its own relaxed eating area, with guests free to wander between each to sample all the delicacies on offer.

"Just a short note to congratulate you and your team on the truly first class job that you did for us at our Millennium Party on Saturday. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the end result was a great party thanks to all of you. All in all I very much looking forward to working with you in the future"
